This painting is about breasts and what’s behind them—our heart, of course! Actually, this was a play on space and deployment methods of dimensionality. Like a good book with a beginning, middle, and ending, I was exploring my background, middle ground, and foreground. As to the subject matter and what they mean…this sometimes is not that important to me at first, as I go with what feels right, and learn the meaning latter. Usually meaning comes up in the midst of a conversations with my wife, friends, or family…sometimes unknowingly, they give my painting its meaning. So next time when someone asks me what I was thinking, or what does this picture mean, I may give them someone else’s thought. As I like telling viewers of my work, “You are as much a part of my vision to become a great painter, as I am.” If it were not for you, maybe no one would know me, or what these paintings mean.
