Airborne Genitalia (full picture)

Airborne Genitalia
36”h X 80”w
Oil on Canvas
2005

This painting represents a parallax error, a change in observational position due to where the viewer stands. Not that you will see anything different if you move around, but that by looking at the figure in this painting, though it is in pieces, the viewer is somewhat convinced that the figure is simply sitting and looking on. The flying or Airborne Genitalia represents free creativity, and the post results thereof: The paint brush is flaccid after expending its artistic exuberance. A hint of evolution is present in the silhouettes of the animals coming from the paint brush, in that as you paint, an image comes to life, evolving with each stroke. This painting also was a semi-turning point in the subject matter that I painted. Should I paint this or not… that’s when I painted it.
